The group has moved to University of Munich. Please see the new website of the Machine Vision & Learning group Munich.
Welcome to the Computer Vision research group at Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. The group led by Prof. Dr. Björn Ommer conducts fundamental and cutting edge research in high- and mid-level Computer Vision and Machine Learning. In particular, we are interested in all aspects of image understanding and visual object recognition in images and video. On the modeling side we are interested in Statistical Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning.
The group is affiliated with the- Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing (HCI)
- Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR)
and we are a member of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, the Department of Physics and Astronomy, and the Department of Philosophy.
Previous Workshops & Events:- Computing Art - Eine Summerschool zur digitalen Kunstgeschichte
- DAGM Workshop on Unsolved Problems in Pattern Recognition
