Computer-based methods allow a form analysis of image collections, finding visual patterns through time or different genre. Approaches utilized by the interdisciplinary project, embedded within the Computer Vision group, not only compared artworks based on formal aspects, but also studied singular images in detail. Works included an analysis of the correspondence between early modern facades and their self-similarity or the reconstruction of copying and drawing processes of medieval manuscripts.
